Product Description
Rapid immunochromatographic test detecting Ehrlichia canis antibodies in whole blood, serum, or plasma. Aids diagnosis of canine ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne rickettsial infection that destroys blood cells and can cause lethargy, fever, weight loss, lymph node enlargement, organ enlargement, and — in severe or co-infected cases — multi-organ failure. Results in 5–10 minutes with no equipment required. Sensitivity 93.55% and specificity 96.86% versus PCR. Shelf life 24 months. Note: prior infection may cause false positives; early-stage infection (insufficient antibody response) may cause false negatives.
