Product Description
Rapid immunochromatographic test detecting Leishmania infantum antibodies in whole blood, serum, or plasma. Aids diagnosis of canine leishmaniasis, a protozoan disease transmitted by sandfly bites, with symptoms including skin lesions, eye abnormalities, nosebleeds, weight loss, and lethargy — without treatment, the disease can progress from mild to fatal, and relapses are common even after treatment. Results in 5–10 minutes with no equipment required. Sensitivity 95.83% and specificity 93.07% versus ELISA. Shelf life 24 months. Note: early-stage infection (insufficient antibody response) may cause false negatives.
